When I look at something I often see objects or faces. There is a name for this affliction Pareidolia. It is a type of illusion or misperception involving a vague or obscure stimulus being perceived as something clear and distinct.
I am guilty of this everyday. I don’t take it as far as Apophenia. The spontaneous perception of connections and meaningfulness of unrelated phenomena. Well I might but only for a second . 🙂 Some have suggested they are evolution carry overs. I think DNA of creative people have a lot of evolution carry overs. When I look at this first picture I see a big head. Inside of the head I see cloaked being, a woman, a man, another man and something in a space or bio hazard suit. A bird and a partial face. That is a lot to take out of a water droplet.
Here is the full picture of snowflakes caught in a spider web as they melt. What a nice way to relax on a Sunday afternoon.
You’re not alone in this. I sometimes see faces in my vinyl or wood flooring.
The water drop photo is very cool. Was the water droplet dripping onto the lens (looking up at it)? I see the face too. And a woman in a long dress in the middle. Also a man face behind her. 🙂

I see cracked glass or a mirror, showing through to the death star

Once you pointed it out, I also see figures inside the translucent fish. 🙂

I think you and grandfather could have some interesting conversations as
he is adept at noticing such things.

I try not to notice these things. It robs me of time. 🙂
