I have been playing around with pictures that I don’t think are good enough to use. I thought if I play around with the look of them, I could use them as a background for something else. That means editing, which I have not mastered yet. There has been some improvement.
I also bought a bunch of sparkly and metallic paper from the dollar store. Construction board and other things. My thinking is that would mean less time editing since there is a nice back drop anyway.
Good idea? I hope it works! What do you prefer when taking a photo of an object?
My friend is a professional photographer and she says the back drop is the most important thing. If used correctly it draws the eye to the image you are photographing. I obviously need some work in this area….lol

I think your photos are fantastic. You are the reason I started trying harder when taking pictures of our food.

OMG thank you! I take them with my IPAD….hahahaha I am going to buy the new IPHONE because I heard the camera on it is about as good as you can get from a phone. I need a new phone and wanted a decent camera so hopefully it will be a 2 for 1!

I can’t believe how good phones take pictures now. My sister has one that takes amazing pictures. Who would have thought?

Both of your photos would be great for background. I like that you experiment with all your camera work and photos. I never have a good background, so just have a large square of brown craft paper tacked to a wall, and a desk to set things on. π

I have a roll of that too. I figure it would make a nice neutral background. I am going to try them out behind Christmas ornaments for December. Maybe try my hand at making them look like the front of Christmas cards.

I love your ideas about using photographs as backgrounds. I never thought about this way.
I also love that you are experimenting and looking for something innovating.
I think the first photograph will be the perfect background!
