Stand Tall – Trees

When I thought of a title for this post and came up with Stand Tall, I couldn’t get the song out of my head afterwards. (Stand Tall by Burton Cummings) I grew up loving his music and still do. He fronted the band “The Guess Who” as well. And he is from Canada!

  1. Standing tall … reaching forward
In situations like this, where the trees are free standing and separate from others, I am left wondering what caused them to grow at this angle. What are they reaching, searching for?

    1. I think, in this case, it is marsh land, and is due to wet soil. But I have seen the same thing on dry ground and now you have made me wonder. It is not like they are leaning for sunlight, they have no competition. Thanks for the comment. Now can we solve the mystery? πŸ™‚

  2. The arch makes a nice frame for the background horizon! πŸ™‚

Not sure but down here trees bend or lean like that because of the prevailing strong wind direction. You can usually tell which way it is to the coast as the trees all bend away from it. ( Sea breezes). πŸ™‚
